Wedding Wednesday: Engagement Photo Shoot Ideas

Happy Wedding Wednesday!
Lately I haven't been interested in wedding planning at all.  I just finished the semester, and I'm more concerned about getting some much needed R&R, before next year!
I was thinking about Engagement photo's, because Gil and I haven't done this yet. I'm still not quite sure if I want to spend the money on this, so it's still up in the air.

I found some engagement photo's for inspiration, and I thought it was a fun idea to do a movie inspired engagement shoot.

Here are a few I found to be very interesting.

The Notebook...
One of my all time favorite Love stories! I think it's everyone's favorite. I love this idea!

Mr. and Mrs. Smith....
I thought this would be funny idea, but not likely for us.

This is Gil's favorite super hero! So of course this is an option!

The Great Gatsby...
I love the 1920's, and the love story is just epic! Every woman needs her a Jay Gatsby!

Oh boy when this movie came out, I was in love! I think I watched it everyday for a year. That Rose made me mad when she let go of Jack

Disney's UP...
I love the beginning of this story! It's a classic, and a wonderful idea!

That's all I have for today! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I know how you feel! I've lost my gusto with being so busy with my uni work. Love these photos. Definitely some gorgeous ideas. I got engaged a few weeks ago and have been thinking about doing something. Maybe in the new year. Hope you feel better and manage to get some well deserved rest xoxo

  2. I've seen some awesome Notebook inspired shoots. And I love the Up shoot as well. We actually didn't do engagement photos, since my husband hated the idea of them. But I had some really cute idea I wished we could have done.

  3. These look awesome!! When we were planning ours I was looking at doing an observatory photoshoot. We ended up settling on a paint fight, which was a blast!! I definitely think it's a great thing to do. Maybe find a friend who isn't super professional and, if you trust their work, pay them a lower rate. Some photographers do it with their booking, too. George Street Photography seemed really awesome!

I love having our engagement photoshoot pictures for our Save the Dates and, really, anything requiring a picture not taken by myself. lol

  4. i love the Up photo! & kissing in the rain is so sexy!

  5. I love the Up photo too! I'm a big Disney fan!

  6. The paint fight sounds amazing! What an original idea! I think I will have to find a friend or one of my sisters to do the photos for me, because I'm so I didn't know some photographers do the engagement photos too, so I'll def look into that! Thanks for the ideas!

  7. Awwe, now I want to get them done! My fiance and I are both the same when it comes to taking photos. It can be such a hassle. I will def look into doing it, so I don't regret it later. I love the Up photo shoot too! It's cute!

  8. Congrats on your engagement, and thank you, I did get some rest. Sorry it's taken me a while to respond. Idk why I've been so tired. I'm back, but I have no desire to plan for a I think we will do something in the new year too. What kind of engagement photo shoots were you thinking of doing?

  9. I'm not sure. I'm usually the one behind the lens so the idea of having my picture taken terrifies me. lol.

  10. lovely! not so cheesy!
