Confessions of a Reckless Bride #1

Good day y'all!
Confessions of a Reckless Bride, is a new series I've come up with and will be featured on my blog at least once a week

What is Confessions of a Reckless Bride? -This is a series based on stories, adventures, advice, inspirations, and
planning from yours truly and guest brides. (If you're engaged, and care to make an entry in this series, email me for further information. I would love to have you.)

What is a reckless bride? - A reckless bride is a headstrong, mostly rash, adventurous, bold, and  fearless bride-to-be or newlywed ready to take on this world. She is carefree, and doesn't care what others think. (If you fit in this description email me for further information.)

Confession #1
It's been a hot minute since I've written a bridal post, and here is why...I no longer have a desire to get married! LOL I'm just kidding, but seriously, the reason why I haven't made bridal posts is because I haven't made any wedding plans. I'm a student teacher this semester (intern) and my time is limited to writing papers, working for free, and attending classes. This is just the beginning to how busy I'll be in the fall for my second intern experience :(

Unfortunate for me, I really want to get married in the month of November. What does this mean in terms of getting married this fall? Simply impossible! I haven't made the official announcement, so here it is...we are postponing the wedding yet another year :(
It's not something that makes me sad, but it is something that makes me irritable. Here's why...I've been with my fiancé for over 10 years. Which means our family and friends have been waiting to see us say our "I do's". It generally makes me uncomfortable to talk or be asked about wedding plans. I find myself repeating it over and over for years..."There are no wedding plans for this year!"

Have you ever felt someone judge you right after you said something that strikes them as questionable? I don't understand why this topic is quickly questioned. It is our lives, and not anyone else's, so our decisions should remain ours...right?

No, it's not because any of us have cold feet. We've been together for over 10 years, that's just ridiculous to say the least. We're not getting married this year, because I've started my Internships. I had no idea I was going to be this busy, and this distracted from making wedding plans. It's easy as that. I've come this far in my Elementary Education program to be distracted by stressful wedding planning. Once I graduate, I'll be a happy camper, and book a venue for fall of 2015.

Of course, I will do the small things that aren't distracting like finding a wedding dress, looking for bridesmaid dresses, finding inspiration, and continue as a happy bride.

I do love talking to other brides about their wedding planning so don't be afraid to drop me a line. Don't be shy or bashful I love hearing from my readers. At least let me know your a reader :)

Calling all Guest Post BLOGGERS

Aloha y'all, Happy Saturday to you all!
So I'm putting this AD out for all my blogger buddies! Lately I haven't found a lot of time to blog on a daily basis like I use too. I got a great idea from one of my blogger buddies, to put an AD out to all my blogging buddies, who would be interested in guest posting on my blog. So I'm starting a segment on my blog called "Influential Friends" I would love to feature you! Oh and it's free advertisement...Who could say no to that?!
I've done guest posting before, and it's always a great experience. So if you're interested, be a guest blogger. Your post doesn't have to be bridal/wedding related. I mean, it could be a recipe you'd like to share, or a craft you'd like to share. Whatever it may be, comment on this post, or email me if you interested. If you have a topic in mind, let me know. I'm really easy to work with, and I love meeting new people if I haven't met you yet as a blogger.
Here's a little about my blog. I started my blog with "How to Make your Own Wedding Planner" and it's been the most popular post yet. It was a hit right from the beginning. I have plenty of tips to save a buck while planning a wedding. Check out some of my Glam Posts on my sidebar, and take a note of the amount of repins!
I get daily recognition on my blog! Here is the most recent screenshot of my page views in February.
If your interested email me, or comment on this post. I'd be happy to have you :) Oh and it's free advertisement...Who could say no to that?!

My Giphy Week 2

I hope everyone has had a beautiful week with plenty of cowbell. Unlike me, I kind of hated this week. It felt like it was never going to end, and now that it's Friday I feel like it went by so fast. This week was a tough one guys. I can't stress enough how busy I've become this semester that I feel like I have no blogging time. To fix this problem, I'll be putting out an ad, hopefully tomorrow or Sunday for Guest Posts. So if you're here now, email me, and guest post on my blog!!

Saturday So I'll begin with last Saturday if you don't mind. I pretty much needed a pick me up after saying good bye to my 4th grade class last Friday. So the babes and I headed out to have a mini date night. We went to my preferred miniature golf place here in Orlando. It's called Putting Edge; it's indoors, and glows in the dark!! Woot woot! I love anything dark, and Needless to say, I started off the game with a hole in one, and dominated the golfing!! Below you'll find me, being me :D

Sunday  I should really start another blog entitled..."Diaries of a Bride on Strike"...LOL Seriously guys, it's just not happening this year at all! I guess I'll go back to the theory of "Living in the moment" or "What will be will be" lol Just go with it.

Monday  I started my first day in a Kindergarten classroom! Yay! My supervising teacher is the BOMB! She's really nice, and very funny! I like her teaching style, and her handle on the kids! Seriously, I fell right into instruction with this class, because...I use to teach VPK for about 5 years. I knew exactly what to expect. Needless to say, I knew all the students names by the end of the day :D
Tuesday  After my interning duties were over, I rushed home to complete some assignments that were due in my night class. BLAH! I basically looked at the syllabus wrong and did extra work, which frustrates me, but I got it done. One less assignment to worry about.

Wednesday  In my Art class my partner and I were teaching our lesson plan to full grown adults...our We had the Science Content area, and we did the Moon!! YAY!

Thursday  Oh Thursday! I had a boat load of work to do, and I GOT THING!! lol I tried though. I just kept finding my adult ADD kicking in. sad face.

Friday Today is Friday and yeah no shop talk :D

Well I hope everyone has a great weekend and drop me a line in the comments. Tell me how you're weeks been! I love hearing from readers :)

The Gift of being a Teacher Intern

Happy Friday ya'll!!
This Friday was filled with a mix of emotions and awesome learning experiences for one lucky intern...ME!
Today was my last day in my fourth grade class, and it was definitely an amazing day! I spent the whole week at my elementary school, because it was the last week I'd be with 4th grade. My time with fourth grade went by so fast I can hardly believe it! When the students found out I was leaving them for kindergarten they were so sad, it broke my heart. I wish I could stay on as their intern but it's time for me to move on to a new class.

Thursday and today I participated in what Orange County calls "Lesson Study", which is suppose to be a big deal, and great on my resume. It's basically lesson planning with the grade level team of teachers. We all come up with a fun and innovative lesson plan and implement it in one of the classroom. After the teacher, teaches the lesson the group goes back and talks about what went right and wrong. There's so much more to it but that's the quick version. It was an amazing learning experience and I feel like I've taken so much out of it, but I basically missed 2 whole days with my fourth graders. I had about 20 minutes with them today on my last day to say my goodbyes, which saddened me deeply 😞.

After adult time was finally over, I ran up the stairs to my classroom of fourth graders, so I could spend every second until dismissal time with them. I showed up breathless and laughing. The students asked me to join them on the floor so they could give me something they made. Each student went running for a card they made me, and I thought I was going to losing it! Really y'all, I was almost in tears because it's truly a rewarding experience. Each little group of students gave me a card they made with words of inspiring/hilarious/encouragement/sweet. I knew that I was going to cry if I read all the cards there in front of them so I previewed them and told them i was gonna lose it if I read them in front of they all laughed and said an "Awww" together. These little people are soo funny and characters already at such a young age.

Why I Hate Checking my Email

You could say that we all have our own worse habits, right? Mine just so happens to be that I rarely check my email. No wait I'm lying...I check my gmail account regularly but my other email accounts such as my college email gets the cold shoulder.

The only types of emails I LOVE reading are those from my readers!!! I feel like I could read those all day ...everyday!

Why I hate reading my emails...

1. It seems like my college email fills up with all sorts of reminders. It makes me feel like I'm behind in some way. It gives me anxiety when I open my college inbox.

2. I constantly get emails from Professor. This could go on forever. It's not that I hate reading my professors emails, it's just that I feel very overwhelmed by the time I get through my second email for the day. I get constant reminders of projects, assignments, and the worst of it changes! I can't stand confuses me and overwhelms me when my inbox is filled with changes. Changes on the syllabus, changes on due dates, changes on meeting times, etc.

3. Emails for the Financial Aid office scare me to death! There have been times when I see the email and my heart drops. It worries me if something is wrong, etc. it's the worst experience to go through just to see "Financial Services" on my inbox list. Blah!

4. I feel like there is always some sort of work for me to do. I just want to sleep people, can you stop giving me work to do and take in consideration that I'm lacking in my 8 hours of sleep! No more work. I can barely get my own work done, don't ask me to do yours as well.

5. Questions, questions, questions! I get so many questions in one day it's crazy! Questions from friends, classmates, teachers, professors, etc.

6. I have random people sending me videos of something they want me to see. I love that you want me to see this video but don't expect me to get back to you ASAP it just doesn't work like that. I have to find time and an internet connection to viewn your video. I find it easier if you just send it via text. I'll watch it immediately, but if it's in my email I have to go and find it, etc.

7. I always forget all my so I kind of have my passwords saved on my main computer. So if I'm on my phone or iPad it takes me forever to figure out my password and sometimes me email address. I know I'm a mess but I have a short memory. I just do, and it sucks...but I can't help it.

8. Spam mail! Oh how I despise spam mail! It's weird how something's get in my main inbox and it's spam.

9. I get so many emails from link up parties, mad blog hops, it's ridic! I'm sorry guys but if your not in the social part of my email then I've spammed I've joined countless link up parties and blog hops and It annoys me when I'm actually waiting for an important email to see "come link up with us" emails.

10. When I actually read emails...I literally respond mentally. I forget to respond I responded just in my brain and then I received a call or someone texted me, or I got side tracked some how...I now forgot to respond. So I kind of hate responding after I've read it and mentally responded. Lol

Emails are so annoying, and I know I can't be the only one who hates them. Let me know if your an email hater lol
